36 Hertz was set up by DJ Vapour in 2008 after he noticed that there was a gap in the market for the more bass heavy tracks that kept flying through the instant messenger every week. Standing out from the crowd and pushing tracks by newer artists was the ethos behind the label and from the success that the first release it became quite obvious that the label was hitting the right note with the record buying public.

Fierce DJ support has ensured that each release has been selling out on promo within hours and all of the release’s keep selling in large quantity’s months after their initial release. So far the label has received regular club plays from Andy C, Grooverider, Hype, Friction, Chase & Status, Fabio, Kenny Ken, Nicky Blackmarket, Randall, Storm, Goldie, Shy FX and Bryan G to name but a few. This in turn has gained the label radio play on BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra, Kiss 100, Kool FM and Pyrotechnic radio.

As the label continues to expand with 36 Hertz club nights being hosted by promoters worldwide release’s are now coming out thick and fast and the label is fast shaping up to be one of the the fastest growing labels in the DNB scene.
